Job Description:- The division of Information Management is seeking to hire a Senior .NET Developer to join the IT system development and implementation efforts.
- The candidate will work with project managers, other developers, and business analysts to help deliver applications and business processes.
- The candidate will provide the development and delivery of software applications.
- Additionally, the candidate will provide research and development activities, especially for emerging technologies.
- Lastly, resources will be responsible for identifying and managing risks and issues associated with the development of applications.
- Candidates familiar with IRS Publication 1075 requirements to work with systems dealing with Federal Tax Information is a plus.
- If suitable candidates are found, we will try to fill the position as soon as possible, with the intent to keep the resource for long term.
- The candidate may be required to attend meetings and work days at the client Building in Frankfort, KY.
Responsibilities:- Support and enhance existing systems used by the Cabinet
- Use .NET and related technologies to design, develop, and implement web-based applications and services for the Cabinet.
- Understand functional specifications and translate into working code - performing systems analysis, coding, testing, and implementation of web applications, services, and data interfaces.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts to implement enhancements and/or new applications.
- Prepare analysis, design, and program documentation.
- Estimate the development tasks and effort involved in completing system requirements.
- Deliver quality software releases on schedule.
- Develop and deploy applications in a large-scale distributed and shared environment.
- Work in a team environment.
- Work on multiple tasks and initiatives concurrently while being accountable for driving success of the project application development.
- Participate in design and code reviews to evaluate and ensure that the design being applied meets policies, principles, and standards.
- Review and align office technology product choices to ensure that enterprise technical standards are met.
- Adhere to industry standards and software best practice guidelines.
- Define and implement proof of concept for new initiatives.
Skill-set:- 5 years of IT development experience.
- Strong knowledge of .NET, C#, MVC Framework, Web Forms, Visual Studio, Microsoft SQL Server, WCF, SOA, Web API.
- Strong experience in relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle using Entity Framework or LINQ.
- Strong web coding skills using Angular, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, JSON, HTML, and Bootstrap.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.).
- Experience using SSRS and SSIS.
- Knowledge of generating reports in Excel and PDF format.
- Experience with IIS and Windows Servers
- Experience with Agile methodology and working environment.
- Must have very good understanding and experience in developing solutions using different design patterns (MVC, SOA)
- Experience in developing and deploying applications in large-scale distributed and shared environments.
- Experience in full development lifecycle phases.
- Experience with IT systems for credit card processing, accounting, or finance expected.
- Experience with IT systems for tax filing, processing, and administration is a plus.
- E-Commerce and accounting or finance-related experiences are a plus.
