Responsibilities:
- Work with Special Education system users to gather requirements.
- Develop/enhance Special Education systems.
- Work on fixing bugs in Special Education applications as and when reported.
- Add or modify the ERD to accommodate desired features.
- Run scripts to migrate data to help with UAT.
- Meet weekly with Special Education users to address issues with the new and old systems and get their feedback on new enhancements.
- Host occasional system demos over the web with users in the field.
- Create/modify MS Word letter templates as needed.
- Organize documentation efforts to ensure easy maintenance for future modifications.
Skills Needed
- 84+ months of experience doing analysis, design, development, testing and deploying complex systems using Enterprise Java for application development.
- 84+ months of experience working with Oracle database writing complex SQL and PL/SQL statements.
- 84+ months of experience with Spring Security and Spring MVC framework in application development.
- 60+ months of experience working with jQuery in application development.
- 60+ months of experience using CSS, Bootstrap and HTML.
- 36+ months of experience working with docx4j.
- 36+ months of experience working with United States Government or New York State Agencies interacting with business/program leaders and subject matter experts onsite to develop complex J2EE systems.
- Bachelor’s degree or greater in computer science, computer engineering or information technology.
