Subject : Oracle ESB Technical/Functional consultant
Description :

We are looking for a Oracle ESB Technical/Functional consultant for a long term contract here with the state on a project.

·         Must have strong finance modules, AP, AR, General Ledger, etc. development and analysis or functional.

·         They will go in to the agence and assess where they are in their implementation and improved the applications and processes.

·         Just to refresh your memory here is some high level background info- We have EBS 12.1.3 and use the basic financial modules.

·         In addition to the core financial modules we also use Oracle Time & Labor, iProcurement and Projects/Grants Management.

·         We do use HRMS as well but only to the extent we need it for OTL.

·         We use encumbrance accounting in the Purchasing module which is causing us some heartburn- both in how to release and reconcile and dealing with Oracle’s insufficient Standard reports to track encumbrance balances.

·         We also have some exception transactions in the AP, Purchasing and Grants modules that we need assistance cleaning up.

·         We believe most of these transactions require script cleanup so this is one of areas the Developer would likely work on.

·         We lack knowledge in certain areas like Sub ledger accounting and workflow (although we don’t have any pressing issues to fix in these areas).

·         And generally speaking regarding the Functional expert we just need someone like a Linette where we can discuss EBS settings and profile options to see if there are ways to better utilize the system and simplify some of our processes (particularly in Purchasing, AP and Grants).

·         Our resident FSG and Report Manager expert recently left the Agency so while not required, FSG report building knowledge would be a plus.

·         If they Apex development experience could be a plus but I just want to be clear that we probably won’t be ready for APEX until Summer/Fall of this year so we can definitely cross that bridge when we get there. This particular resource isn’t required to have APEX
