Few candidates we interviewed earlier for Senior Engineer position had strong resumes with rich sets of skills, however some of those key skills were not proven during the interview, in one instance the candidate wasn’t even familiar with some things written in his own resume.
It’s also hard to rely on job titles in their resumes since some companies might rate Senior Level Engineer’s responsibilities differently. But in general, Senior Engineer should have a broad expertise in many areas from lower DB design all the way to UI interactions with JS components so he/she can efficiently utilize this experience in overall system analysis, design and implementation.
So far we have not seen a real Senior Level candidate yet among those we interviewed and we hope you guys will find one.
