Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for partnering with business/user group representatives to understand business processes and underlying informational and/or process automation needs, then translating those needs into formal, documented business requirements
  • Interprets and communicates insights to product, service and business management
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to translate key insights from complex analyses into actionable business insights; be able to speak data with people who don't speak data
  • Develops in-depth understanding of underlying data, data structures, and business uses of data
  • Develop functional understanding of the business and apply towards business systems reengineering
  • Perform Gap Analysis of comprehensive requirements at the application and multi-application levels
  • Partners with business teams to gather, document and maintain business requirements that will inform data modeling decision
  • Compiles data from various sources into a single, consumable, data set, including design and implementation of data marts
  • Required strong analytical acumen with the ability to uncover insights and create stories by seamlessly integrating a variety of data sources
  • Dedicated experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or business analytics. This means you've got some pretty top-notch analytical and quantitative skills and have proven your ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases
  • Proficiency with programming/data querying languages (SQL, NoSQL)
  • Working Experience of Big Data landscape as demonstrated through experience or certification (Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Impala)
  • Knowledge of ETL Tools like DataStage, Informatica etc and procedures including PL/SQL
  • Experience with relational databases, and data warehousing, and data modeling (Oracle, DB2, Hadoop)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to work with large, complex data sets across multiple platforms and design efficient processes to provide accurate and timely information
  • Performs non-technical project activities using an internal customer perspective; typically from initiation through delivery
  • Create and manage the process for handling project-specific change requests.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems or Business; prior work experience in Business Intelligence/Data Integration preferred
  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's/ PhD degree; or equivalent work experience
