Description :
  • Deliver and deploy a replacement technical solution for Alcon’s end-of-life (EOL) RDDCM Documentum 6.5 Platform document management system, migrate documents/data from the legacy solution to the new solution, and on-board business processes and user community to the new solution. The Planning phase focuses on activities required to deliver an Execution Project Charter, supporting budget to support the project’s final Implementation phase, and business adoption

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and represent the project from planning start-up to execution completion

  • Plan and organize the project

  • Leadership of global internal and external project teams

  • Experience with vendor management (incl. contract management) - should RFP be required for solution

  • Be responsible for achieving the project objectives

  • Manage quality, timeliness and cost of the deliverables, plus business value delivery.

  • Active and continuous risk and issue management

  • Maintain control over the project’s status and budget/spending/forecast

  • Develop and report project status and issues through weekly project status meetings.  Additionally manage status delivery to the project Steering Committee (budget, scope, timeline, resources, and risks)

  • Compliance to internal standards (e.g., ICE) and policies (eg. IGM) and external standards (eg. GxP) where applicable.

  • Lead cross domain (IT & Business) communications and alignment

  • Ensure successful handover and transition of solution to Operations

Skills Required:

  • Min of 10 years of IT project management experience

  • Significant experience in the Medical Device or Life Sciences Industry

  • Significant experience in managing complex, global projects delivering enterprise solutions.

  • Significant experience delivering Documentum based solutions within the Med Device or Life Sciences Industry

  • Superior leadership, organizational, interpersonal, communication, influencing, negotiation, problem solving skills and stakeholder management

  • Superior project and program management skills, including strong knowledge of and ability to apply various methodologies (eg. ICE, Agile, Waterfall SDLC).

  • Considerable business domain awareness and political agility (e.g. interrelationship of departments, business priorities), plus in depth industry understanding and network.

  • In-depth to detailed understanding of current technologies (e.g., Documentum Enterprise Document Management systems) and their application to enable business value.

  • Has experience / is comfortable working in a global, multi-cultural and matrix environment

  • Fluency in English (oral and written)
