Responsibilities, essential job functions and skills include but are not limited to the following:
• 5+ years of experience working as a System Administrator or equivalent in a remotely managed server environment.
• Strong experience building, managing, and troubleshooting Windows Server (2012/2016/2019) including regular patching.
• Experience with installing, configuring, and patching various enterprise versions of Linux including Red Hat and CentOS.
• Understanding of system administration, troubleshooting and performance tuning of Linux & Windows Servers
• Able to understand, configure and troubleshoot Windows and Linux server networking & DNS
• Configuration, troubleshooting and management of RightFax Systems.
• User creation, group account creation, and assignment for RightFax
• Day to Day operations issues of RightFax
• Troubleshooting RightFax server issues like Dialing rules, SMTP gateway issues etc.
• Extension understanding of reporting creation of RightFax
• Experience with common scripting languages (Perl, python, shell, ruby, etc.)
• Solid knowledge with administrating, deploying and managing Windows and RedHat.
• Sound knowledge of VMware & vSphere Administration and scripting
• Ability to work in a 24x7 Support environment
• Able to generate options and recommend solutions which are logical reasonable and realistic.
• Self-motivated with ability to work individually and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Able to challenge the status quo and to generate new ideas and creative approaches.
• Convey technical concepts clearly and confidently to non-technical people
• Previous experience with other enterprise data center systems administration including Cisco UCS, VMware, storage and some understanding of networking would be great assets.
• Excellent communication skills and positive attitude.
• Working closely with engineering and operations teams across the organization to determine and incorporate their requirements into a robust, flexible, scalable platform in a continuous delivery model.
• Providing architectural input for system design to improve scalability, reliability and adaptability of infrastructure.
• Research and provide feedback on new technologies to satisfy business and technical requirements.
Skills and Qualifications:
• A Bachelors or Master’s degree in a technical discipline is preferred accompanied with designated certifications. Candidates should have a desire to gain technical skills through advanced certifications or other similar achievements
