Position
This position will support the development and running, of test automation using Java Scripting/TestComplete. The candidate must have strong Java Scripting skills and be able to handle complex coding efforts. They must also have good communication skills to work with and mentor UC locations who are also developing scripts. The scripts will be primarily for PeopleSoft and Salesforce.
Duties of this position include the following:
Responsible for the development and execution of automated systems, integration, and regression testing
Identify interdependencies, ambiguities or omissions, and make suggestions to improve scripting requirements and ensure usability/testability
Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, with focus to mitigate risks
Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, and/or procedures to determine product quality or release readiness
Develop testing scripts to address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, boundary/negative testing, error or defect retests
Develop and execute automation testing using Java Scripting and TestComplete (from SmartBear)
Perform initial debugging procedures by reviewing configuration files, logs, or code pieces to determine breakdown source
Mentor developers from locations that are supporting scripting
Requirements:
· Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) experience/knowledge
· 5+ years experience testing with a firm understanding of functional end-to-end testing, system testing, batch processing, user acceptance testing, and regression testing.
· 3+ years of experience scripting and running test automation
· Extensive experience with Java scripting and test automation frameworks
· Familiarity with Jenkins and continuous integration and improvement
· Knowledge and experience with PeopleSoft HCM, TAM and ePerformance
· Excellent logic, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
· Experience with test tools and bug tracking management system
· Ability to be productive in a globally distributed team through self-discipline and self-motivation, delivering according to a schedule
· Interpersonal skills, experienced working with both technical and functional personnel at various levels in the organization; ability to elicit and communicate technical and functional information in a clear and concise manner
· Self-motivated, ability to learn quickly, meet deadlines, works independently and as part of a team
