Job Description:
Provide technical design, implementation, and support services to AWS clients. Areas of focus can include IaaS implementation and optimization as well as AWS PaaS implementations.
As our AWS Delivery Consultant, you’ll drive:
· Deliver complete technical project solutions for clients in different areas of expertise
· Assist in Professional Services engagements in areas of product focus
· Develop relationship with clients, sales teams, and technical peers in order to ensure improved collaboration and satisfaction in support
· Support pre-sales activities such as requirements gathering, technical design, and reviewing SOWs
· Assist in scoping and project planning for complex professional services projects
· Deliver high quality integration services to clients’ IT environments in consultant capacity
· Review clients’ existing configurations and day-to-day operations
· Make recommendations to improve system performance and operational efficiency including automation, where possible
· Ensure clients are satisfied with quality, timeliness, and efficiency of professional services received
· Build trust and relationships with clients and ensure favorable post-engagement survey results
· Strong written communication skills in terms of documentation and recommendations for clients by utilizing Softchoice standard templates and documents
· Demonstrated ability to manage client situations with empathy and ownership
· Must be able to identify opportunities with clients in core technical skillset and adjacent technologies
· Excellent time management
· Experience working in team-oriented, collaborative environment
As our ideal candidate you’ll also have:
· Strong understanding of technology components – client, storage, compute, virtualization
· Technical scripting experience to complement project delivery (e.g., JSON, Python, YAML)
· Experience with automation tools (e.g., Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform)
· Expert knowledge of at least one of the following: High Availability design and implementation (multi-regional architecture), infrastructure as code, data platform, Well Architected Framework
· Solid networking skills and security – SMTP, DNS, Firewall, TCP/IP
· Attainment of AWS Certified Solution Architect – Professional and AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate
· Post-Secondary Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
· A minimum of two years in a technical implementation role with a proven track record in technology consulting or solutions delivery
