Desktop Engineer/SCCM Admin Role in St. Petersburg, FL 33716
Desktop Engineer/SCCM Admin Role in St. Petersburg, FL, to assist in a Windows 10 migration and perform moves, adds, changes, and maintenance activities for desktop/laptop computers, telephones, and printers. The Desktop Support Role will include knowledge of Windows 10 desktops/laptops, Active Directory, 0365, Mobile phone devices (iOS), Cisco AnyConnect VPN, and Various Printers, scanners, some fax services.
Daily/Weekly Responsibilities (Note: main responsibilities will be to help with Windows 10 servicing upgrades)
• System Center Configuration Manager Administration
• Ability to watch, troubleshoot and resolve SCCM system errors
• Monitor the health of servers, workstations and agents to include WMI resolution
• Manage system content to Distribution Points
• Manage Hardware and Software inventory
• Create, configure and manage Compliance Settings
• Create drift audit reports and automate remediation when drifts occur
• Develop, test and maintain application installation packages using WinRAR and/or InstallShield
• Configure, test and manage Software Distributions including applications, registry fixes and other scripted commands
• Monitor software deployments through all environments and resolve any issues
• Patch Management
• Manages SCUP, WSUS, Software Updates and Shavlik tools
• Deploy Microsoft and 3rd party security updates to server and workstation environments
• Perform vulnerability scans on individual devices
• Research and remediate outstanding vulnerabilities
• Operating System Deployment for server and workstation systems – virtual and physical
• Create, modify, test and deploy
• Ensure no driver conflicts with existing equipment models
• Create, run and maintain SQL Queries and Reports
• Implement advanced scripting using multiple scripting languages when needed, i.e., PowerShell, VB, batch and SQL
• Coordinate application releases with the customer and other IT areas as needed
• Manage MS EndPoint Protection products within SCCM, i.e., AV, Encryption, EMET (preferred)
• Maintain awareness of industry trends
• Represent the department on project activities to communicate the capabilities of our services
• Troubleshoot problems to locate root cause and appropriate fixes in expedient fashion
• Provide support and technical issue resolution in support of other teams
• Work with vendors for support with resolving issues and developing/maintaining platform strategy
